(May 2016) Welcome New Members to Our Lab – Cindy & Catherine

Both Catherine and Cindy are recent UBC Food Science graduates and will join our lab as MSc students in May 2016.

Born and raised in China, Cindy came to Vancouver in 2012. Her current area of research is on developing mitigation strategies for reducing pathogen contamination on sprouted vegetables

Catherine was raised in Vancouver, BC. For her MSc study, the focus is on reducing Salmonella contamination during pre-harvest of lettuce and tomatoes. She will spend the summer working at the Summerland Research and Development Centre of Agriculture & AgriFood Canada (AAFC).
